'3 Idiots' is about the life of three friends, an entertainment journey in search of their friend 'Rancho (Aamir Khan) who has given a unique touch to their lives. Madhavan & Sharman start their journey in search of their friend Rancho and move back to their college and hostel days and also remember about 'RAncho's releationship with Pia played by Kareena Kapoor and his clash with an oppressive mentor 'Viru' played by Boman Irani.
