Noted choreographer-actor-turned-director Lawrence Raghavendra's forthcoming bilingual Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam (Super Cowboy in Telugu) is being directed by Simbudevan and produced by Kalpathi S. Agoram under the banner of SGS Entertainments with a massive budget of Rs. 20 crores. Now the film is all set to grace theatres on May 7, 2010.

Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam is an 18th century subject with enough comedy and adventure. Padmapriya and Lakshmi Rai are the heroines. Also in the cast are Saikumar, Sandhya, Nasser, Manorama, Senthil, Mouli, Delhi Ganesh and Ramesh Khanna. Dialogues are by Sriramakrishna, lyrics by Vanamali, music by G.V. Prakash and choreography by Lawrence himself.

Director Simbhudevan, who gave the massive hit Imsai Arasan and Arai En 302il Kadavul has created the same magic for his next bilingual Irumbu Kottai Muratti Singam (Super Cowboy in Telugu). The latest we hear is that he has slightly delayed its entry into theatres due to public demand. The much-expected cowboy flick will now hit theatres during the school vacations, in stead of March 26.

Produced by Kalapathi S. Aghoram under the AGS Entertainment banner, the film, starring noted choreographer-actor-turned-director Lawrence Raghavendra in the lead role, is made with a massive budget of Rs. 20 crores.

After 'Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi' and 'Arai En 305il Kadavul', filmmaker Simbu Devan is back with a cowboy movie set in the 17th century. Titled 'Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam', the movie produced by Kalpathi S Agoram for AGS Entertainment has Raghava Larencce, Padmapriya, Lakshmi Rai and Sandhya playing the lead roles.

Humour has always been Simbu Devan’s forte. He says, "I have my own identity. Audience asks for clean humour and I give it to them through my movies."

"Since my childhood, I have been fond of cowboy movies. I love reading cowboy stuff in comics and novels. I have always wished to make a comedy movie on them. 'Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam' is a product of that wish,’ says Simbu Devan, who started his career as a cartoonist with a popular Tamil weekly.

A comical film, 'Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam' also features Nasser, Saikumar, Mouli and Manorama in pivotal roles. The look of the film is designed by art director Muthuraj, the man behind the Malayalam mega venture 'Pazhassi Raja'.

For the film 'Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam' a huge crew of Actors, have learnt horse riding professionally Lawrence, Lakhshmi Rai, Sai Kumar, Elavarasu, Vaiyapuri and Chams use to go to beahc in the mornign for practicing horse riding.
