How do you convince Amitabh Bachchan to do so many of your films?
I don’t convince him. He reads the script and decides to work with me.

Does Amitabh Bachchan give you his suggestions while directing.
He does give his suggestions. It is an interactive process.

Whose feedback are you waiting for the most, the media, the audiences or the critics?
I’m waiting for the feedback of everybody who sees the film. All these are people after all.

For the last few years, things seem to have gone wrong for you, like the movie Aag. Why?
Things go wrong. If you are experimenting so much, everything doesn’t always work. Something’s go wrong. You have to move on.

You were involved in a controversy when you were seen walking in the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai after the Mumbai blasts with Ritesh Deshmukh, who is acting in your movie Rann. Were you looking for ideas for your movie Rann?
It had nothing to do with the movie. I just happened to go there with Ritesh generally. We started shooting for the movie Rann just after that but there is nothing in the movie which is similar to it.
